Harpeth River Watershed Association partners with many organizations in Tennessee and beyond. Here are links to some of our major partners. Take a look at the great things we're doing in Tennessee to protect your natural resources:
Sitting on the east bank of the Cumberland downtown, this park is an amazing example of beauty and smarts. Beautiful native flowers cover large areas of the park, absorbing rainwater and inviting wildlife. 🐇 These natives 🌼 help keep the soil in place, reducing erosion from runoff. They come back year after year making this park look like a hidden oasis in the spring. In the winter, the native plants prevent erosion, weeds, and keep the soil aerated and healthy.
💦Water within the park is far from wasted! The #cistern you see collects water from the park, filters and recycles it to be reused to irrigate the plants! This cistern also helps reduce flooding by storing excess water.
